“Smoke arises from the Mountain of Doom”. Welcome to Mordor... How many of you have seen a volcano? And how many of those who did, saw it erupting? This is truly a rare occurrence and if you had a chance to see it you should consider yourself incredibly lucky. Read a story about a place where you can gaze at sunrise at this wonder of Mather Nature. Welcome to Mt Bromo. Once in a while it’s nice to go somewhere for a weekend. Suichang seams like a nice choice for a short escapade. It’s one of the most interesting Lishui counties. Hot springs, white water rafting, gold mine and National Park are it’s most known attractions. You can however try something different, far from well established tourist paths… Lishui – small city lost among the mountains. Here unending plantations of tangerines, peaches and other fruits occupy basically every slope. You hike every week enjoying surrounding scenery. Finally one day spring comes, turning those mountains into fairy tale like scenery, where every path is filled with colours, sounds of chirping birds and fragrance of blooming flowers… How many of you have heard about Lishui? :o) Don’t worry. Most Chinese people have neither. No wonder. Whole city has a diameter around 7 km which means that you can walk from one end to the other in less than 2 hours. It really is a place where everything is close and it’s difficult to get lost. So why in the world you’ve decided to live and work in that kind of place?! Simple. Because of the mountains. Ridiculous? Maybe. |
